Construction Manager Appointed for Frame the Future

Buttcon West Limited Selected as Construction Manager for Frame the Future 

The Calgary Winter Club is pleased to share that Buttcon West Limited (BWL) has been selected as the Construction Manager for Frame the Future, following a competitive procurement process. 

The Construction Committee, comprised of Member volunteers and Board members, along with Club management, reviewed five proposals submitted before the August 22, 2025, RFP deadline. Submissions were evaluated against criteria including experience, workplan and schedule, innovation and sustainability, and financial proposal. 

BWL stood out with the most balanced submission across all categories. While the Western division is a new name in Calgary, Buttcon is a well-established company with extensive experience in Eastern Canada. The Calgary team is composed of seasoned professionals who have delivered major projects locally for many years, bringing both national depth and strong local expertise. 

Their proposal highlighted a highly capable team, competitive and well-developed fees, and an eagerness to deliver results for the Club. In addition, their presentation demonstrated strong teamwork and alignment with the Club’s values, reinforcing confidence in their ability to manage a complex, active site like ours. 

With both the Prime Consultant and Construction Manager now confirmed, the Club is well positioned to move confidently from planning into detailed design marking another critical milestone as the Club works to bring Frame the Future to life.
