Your Guide to the Club During Phase 1A of Construction
Dear Members,
For the past several months, we’ve been preparing together for this moment.
Through our Frame the Future communications, we’ve shared updates about parking, programming, Club access, temporary relocations and operational changes, all with one goal: to help prepare our Club and our Members for what construction will look like.
Now, construction is here.
The scope of the Club’s Master Plan represents an extraordinary reinvestment in the Calgary Winter Club and reflects something we can all take pride in: our ability to proactively invest in our facilities, responsibly steward our assets and plan for the long-term future of our Club. An undertaking of this magnitude is significant within the private club industry and represents an exciting investment in both the Club of today and the experience of generations of Members to come.
Bringing that vision to life will mean the Club looks and feels different for a period of time. Construction activity will become part of the landscape, some familiar spaces and routes will change, and parking will be significantly reduced. During our busiest times, finding a stall may take longer than Members are accustomed to.
We know these changes will require adjustment. While we have worked carefully to minimize disruption wherever possible, construction of this scale will bring some inconvenience. Our commitment is to be transparent about what’s changing, provide Members with the information needed to plan their visits, and continue adapting as the project progresses.

Accessible Parking & Club Access
We understand how important accessible parking and entry are for Members who rely on them. As construction reduces parking availability, including accessible parking stalls, in our main lot as well as some of the upper parking lot, a temporary accessible entrance and designated accessible parking area has been added and will be available through the Curling Lounge beginning September 1.
The Curling Lounge entrance will be equipped with a ramp and automatic door openers, and the parking area can be accessed from either the northbound or southbound lanes of 14th Street. Limited accessible parking stalls will also continue to be available at the Upper North Entrance.
As the Curling Lounge entrance is not typically used for Member access, Members who require this temporary accessible entrance during construction will need to have specific access added to their membership fob. To ensure access is in place before the entrance opens, Members are asked to register in advance.
How to Register
Please email experience@calgarywinterclub.com with:
Your Member account number
Proof of Alberta Government issued Accessible Parking Placard
Make and Model of Car and license plate number
Once registration is complete, your fob will be updated and you will receive confirmation before the entrance opens.
Please note that accessible parking will be limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration provides access to the Curling Lounge entrance but does not guarantee an accessible parking stall.

Friday, August 14 | Dining & Events: Elevation, Founder’s Lounge, Private Dining Room (Bin 818), Skyline Room(s) and the Boardroom close as we transition into construction operations.
Saturday, August 15 | Food & Beverage: RnR opens to Members of all ages until 8:00 pm.
Monday, August 17 | Childminding: Childminding relocates to the Upper Classroom.
Tuesday, September 1 | Guest & Spectator Access: Adjusted guest and spectator policies take effect, including changes to permitted hours and the number of guests.
Tuesday, September 1 | Club Access: The Main Entrance closes. Members will access the Club through the Upper North Entrance, Temporary Tennis Entrance, and Badminton Hallway Entrance.
Tuesday, September 1 | Accessible Access: The temporary accessible entrance through the Curling Entrance opens for registered Members who require accessible entry. Limited stalls will still be available at the Upper North Entrance as well.
Tuesday, September 8 | Youth & Recreation: The Youth Room relocates to McCallum, and the Teen Room relocates to Upper Badminton Viewing as a shared space with a schedule.
Tuesday, September 8 | Music: Music classes relocate to the Lower Boardroom and Lower Preschool Rooms.
Tuesday, September 8 | Tutoring: Evening tutoring services relocate to the 55+ Room.

Frame the Future has been years in the making. We’ve imagined, planned, listened and prepared for this next chapter.
